AI agents and the pulse of your event
October 8, 2026 · 5 min read
How espressimo became something you can talk to, what an agent changes while you plan, and how we keep up as assistants evolve.
A few years ago, planning an event meant a notebook, a long chat thread and a spreadsheet nobody wanted to update. Today you can simply ask: how many people have confirmed? That is the idea behind connecting espressimo to AI assistants.
What has changed
espressimo started as a place to make invitations and collect replies. Now the same account can be reached from Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Grok, through an open standard called MCP. The assistant can prepare an invitation from a description, add guests, sum up the replies, seat people at tables and hand you the link to share.
- Create and edit an event by describing it.
- Add guests from a list you paste into the chat.
- Ask for the numbers: yes, no, still thinking, children, menus.
- Seat families at tables, one seat per person.
- Get the invitation link, the poster and a ready-made message.
Staying close to the pulse
Planning is mostly waiting and counting. Who replied? What did they choose? Who needs another nudge? An agent answers those questions in seconds, at any hour, from the phone you already hold. You stop checking and start deciding.
What it never does
The agent works with the permissions you give. It does not send messages to your guests, delete events or guests, touch payments or change your plan. You approve what is shared on a consent screen, guests' contact details are off by default, and you can disconnect with one click.
How we keep up
- We use MCP, so a single connection serves today's assistants and the next ones.
- Every tool has automated tests, including the ones that protect your data and your plan's limits.
- We watch how each assistant changes its menus and update the guides.
- We add only what helps with the event, no gimmicks.
What comes next
We would like espressimo to appear in the assistants' own app directories, so that connecting becomes a single click. Until then, the address in the guide works.
Ready to try? Read the step-by-step guide, copy the address and ask your assistant for your first invitation.
