We use as little browser storage as possible, and only what the site needs to work.
1. What we use today
- Your theme preference (light, dark or automatic), saved locally in your browser (localStorage). It is not sent to us.
- Strictly necessary cookies for security and form handling, where applicable.
- The “espressimo-ref” cookie, only if you came to the site through a link given by an AI assistant (the address contains utm_medium=assistant): it remembers the name of the assistant (claude, chatgpt, gemini, grok or mcp) for at most 30 days, and nothing else. It is not an identifier and is not shared with third parties. If you create an account, the name is saved with it as the source; otherwise it expires on its own. We do not set it if you declined cookies in the banner, and you can delete it at any time in your browser settings.
- Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel Inc.) on the presentation pages: counts visits and page views without cookies and without storing anything in your browser. It doesn't identify visitors or keep IP addresses; we only see totals (pages, countries, device type, where the visit came from).
2. What we don't use
Without your consent we don't use analytics or advertising cookies. Invitation pages and your account never load analytics or tracking tools.
3. Analytics and marketing, only with your consent
On the site's presentation pages we may use the following tools, which only start after you press “Accept” in the cookie banner:
- Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) – visit statistics; _ga cookies, kept for up to 2 years.
- Google Tag Manager (Google Ireland Ltd.) – loads the tags above; it doesn't store data about you on its own.
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) – campaign measurement; the _fbp cookie, kept for up to 3 months.
- Your choice (accepted or declined) is saved locally in your browser. You can change it anytime from the “Cookie settings” link in the site footer.
4. How to control them
You can delete stored data at any time in your browser settings. The site works without it; only the theme will return to automatic.
